NewsPatrolling.com :On the World Sparrow Day, Delhi Prison, Tihar gave new wings of creativity and hope to its female inmates of Jail No.6 as they are going to design costume under supervision of an established designer.
For first ever such initiatives in the entire history of World Cinema, “Marksheet”, becomes the first film to be dressed up by the female inmates of Tihar Jail.
The cast and crew visited this biggest jail of Asia today. The Delhi prisons, Tihar appreciated the move of these eminent personalities to support such social cause.
On this occasion, speaking to media Sh. Ajay Kashyap, D.G(P) stated “we got request from makers of Marksheet and we readily agreed because it will showcase the talent of inmates, give them recognition and inspire others which serves the eventual purpose of our reform initiatives.”
According to Sh. S.S. Parihar, DIG(P), We will try to use talent and participation maximum or whole female inmates of Tihar for preparation of Costumes designing, stitching, cutting, gems and jewelleries and all other accessories & related activities to Promote confidence and skill .
Sh. Raj Kumar, AIG(P), Sh. S.S. Parihar, DIG(P) and Ms. Simray A. Bailorose, Superintendent Jail No.6 (female Jail) agreed in unanimity the satisfaction of doing some creative thing together generally for a section of society leading a life in isolation and giving them the feeling of being in mainstream is the idea behind this move.
Creativity remains unconfined proved once again as one of the Asia’s biggest jails inmates, design costumes for a Bollywood film “Marksheet”. You can’t do anything but to appreciate when you come across the wonderful designs that have been showcased in the Hall named as fashion Lab inside the jail, stated by actor Imran Zahid.
The ones who have accepted their deeds and are ready to face consequences for atonement are worthy to design clothes for a film that has a strong message for society on the significant issue like Crime in education added the writer of this film Dinesh Gautam.
Film talk’s about a timid boy who goes on to become a lynchpin of a racket hat almost wipes out credibility of many important exams.
The cast and crew of this film visited Tihar Fashion Lab alongwith designer Winky Singh. Shoot of this film will start by the month of July and will be ready for release by the end of 2018. Association of Tihar will remain with this film beyond designing costumes as well. “Marksheet” is being produced by Moonlight Theatres and Yellowstone together. Film is co-written by Dinesh Gautam and will be directed by Harish Vyas. Imran Zahid, Kulnoor Brar and Satyakam Anand (Gangs of Wasseypur fame) are in the lead role.
