Supply woes, robust Chinese demand boost Copper

Best bloggers of india : newspatrolling.com - “On Wednesday, LME Copper prices surged to $7259/t, highest since Jan’14 as China's copper imports surged 19 percent year on year to 329,168 tonnes in November. However, copper imports of 2.915 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2017 are still down more than 10 percent from the same period in 2016.

Already, Copper prices were gaining momentum boosted by stringent curbs by China on polluting industries fuelled concerns regarding supply. Company official from Jiangxi Copper Co., China’s largest producer, confirmed that they will be halting all output in the province after the local government ordered the curbs to reduce pollution.”
